I am loving this Virgin America safety video!

Some love it, some hate it. Virgin America has just released a new safety video that they will start to show at the beginning of each flight, starting in November.

The video, directed by well-known director Jon M. Chu, features many famous singers and dancers from shows like American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. The song is catchy and the video is mesmerizing, and you’re not going to be able to take your eyes off of it if you’re riding this plane. Which is perfect, because it adheres to all of the FAA’s in-flight safety guidelines. I’ve already watched it three times in a row…

I think this is a great way for Virgin America to get their name out there in the competitive airline world. This makes people want to fly Virgin America if it’s seen as a fun airline. And for people who might be uneasy about flying, this could put them in a more relaxed state.

Virgin America even set up an Instagram contest on their site, http://VXsafetydance.com, where you can upload a video of your “freshest moves” that could end up in the next safety video! Check them out using the hashtag #VXsafetydance. This is a brilliant way for Virgin America to use the video to engage with future customers!
